Dolphin located at Zoo Atlanta
In April of 2011, the largest and best aquarium in the world opened the new Dolphin Tales expansion which includes a new gallery, state of the art theater, and show featuring these beautiful aquatic animals. To celebrate the opening, local artists teamed up with Dolphins on Parade sponsors to create unique fiberglass dolphin statues. These statues were on display at the Georgia Aquarium for several weeks after the exhibit opened, but have ventured out “on parade” around Atlanta.
To promote these beautiful statues now on display around town, the Georgia Aquarium is running a Dolphins on Parade contest through the end of August. Every week they will draw a winner to receive an aquarium prize pack and you can enter to win via Twitter, Facebook, and Foursquare. How to enter:
- Foursquare – check in at one of the statues with an attached photo and send your check-in to Twitter with the hashtag #DolphinsOnParade included in your shout
- Twitter – tweet a picture of a statue and include both @GeorgiaAquarium and #DolphinsOnParade in your message
- Facebook – Post a picture of a statue on your profile and tag the Georgia Aquarium
How do you find the statues? You can locate them using the map under the Dolphins on Parade tab on the GA Aquarium Dolphin Tales page or on Foursquare:
Have fun tracking down the Dolphins on Parade and good luck on winning one of the weekly prizes!
