Atlanta has a strong and vibrant tennis community thanks to wonderful organizations like the Atlanta Lawn & Tennis Association (ALTA). Yesterday, foursquare released a new expertise badge to reward the avid tennis players simply called ‘Ace’. This badge is a continuation of their recent expertise badge series designed to encourage users to live a more healthy lifestyle. The more tennis court venues you visit, the higher you can increase your rank. Users who unlock the new Ace badge will see the following text:
You’ve stayed up ’til the wee hours to watch matches at Rod Laver Arena and Roland Garros and perfected your Johnny Mac outbursts and Sharapova shriek. Now prepare to face the likes of Novak Djokovic, slice an ace down the line, and make it a love game!

Other badges in this exercise motivational line-up include the golf ‘Birdie‘, ‘Joggernaut‘ for runners, and the cycling badge called ‘Velocipede‘.
If you love to watch professional tennis, be sure to check out the BB&T Atlanta Open hosted at Atlantic Station July 14-22nd.
Forget the ALTA bag tags, a foursquare badge is much better trophy to show off to friends!
