Logo TV is adding another badge to their Foursquare brand partnership to help promote the 3rd season of the reality show RuPaul’s Drag Race. Last year, Logo TV launched their partnership with Foursquare when they released the A-List badge and contest. All Foursquare users who unlock the new RuPaul Drag Race badge by March 28th will be entered to win a free trip for 2 to the season finale party in New York City. There are 2 ways to earn the badge and both require you to follow Logo TV. They are centered around the theme of helping you find “where the queens of RuPaul’s Drag Race love to shop, sashay and socialize”:
- Check-in a venue in 3 of the following 5 categories on 3 different days: (i) gay bars, (ii) salons, (iii) boutiques, (iv) karaoke bars, (v) beauty/cosmetics.
- RuPaul is an Atlanta drag icon and as such we are fortunate to have 2 different venues where Logo TV has left tips. Checking in at either of these locations once will also immediately unlock the badge:

MTV Networks has been a strong supporter of the Foursquare platform for promoting shows across all three networks (MTV, Vh1, Logo TV). They have done this by tying in real locations to show themes and specific venues that are featured. It will be interesting to see how Foursquare continues to evolve over time with these TV partners as other entertainment based check-in startups like GetGlue and Miso gain more attention and traction in the marketplace.
