Big news for Atlanta Foursquare users! Creative Loafing has partnered with Foursquare to add a badge that coincides with their recently released 2013 list of “100 Dishes to Eat Before You Die“. This revised list (originally created in 2011) of must try culinary options around our city is a fantastic guide to help you explore new locales or try new dishes at some of your usual haunts. The list covers everything from a Trader Vic’s Mai Tai to the Bocado burger stack to a cool treat at King of Pops. To earn the badge, you simply need to follow Creative Loafing Atlanta on Foursquare and begin checking in at any of the locations on their 100 Dishes to Eat Before You Die list - be sure to save it for easier access from your account. Users who visit one of their locations can not only enjoy a recommended item, they will also earn the first level of the badge with this unlock text:
You’re straddling the line between ultimate Atlanta foodie and total glutton, but who are we to judge? Creative Loafing reminds you to eat on, friend!

This is only the 3rd Foursquare badge available exclusively to users in Atlanta. The first was the Foursquare issued Atlanta badge as part of the 4sqCities collection and the second was the recent AT&T Final Four Fanatic badge during the 2013 NCAA Final Four festivities. What’s exciting about the new Creative Loafing 100 Dishes badge is that it is the first Atlanta only partner badge with experience leveling. Creative Loafing was a sponsor of the 2012 Atlanta 4sqDay party and has been using the platform for a while so it’s fun to see them with their own badge.
I’ve already been to several of these locations, but I am looking forward to re-visiting those spots with their recommended dishes and exploring some of the new venues as well. Have fun culinary adventuring through Atlanta, y’all!
